Situated in the quaint Cumbrian market town of Brampton, the Howard Arms is a family run pub with a balance of traditional touches and contemporary twists. Our pub has a relaxed atmosphere and welcomes locals, visitors to the area, overnight stayers, business trippers, families and even four-legged friends.

We serve a wide array of food throughout the day, with a commitment to locally sourced ingredients freshly prepared. Whether it’s the hearty ‘Dickens Delight’ breakfast in the morning or a homemade Steak & Ale pie in the evening, the pub’s carefully selected menus are sure to have something to suit all tastes and dietary requirements.
The pub’s well-stocked bar is home to a vast choice of gins, as well as a selection of wines and other spirits. And of course, there’s some 5* Cask Marque real ales on tap too


Accommodation
There are eight bedrooms at The Howard Arms, compromising seven super king rooms/twins and one single room. We are a family run pub that provides guests with a home-from-home feel in our individually designed rooms all with an en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs and free WiFi. There’s no need to leave your four-legged friends behind as we are dog friendly and an extra bed or cot can also be set up to cater for families. Safe storage for your bike is also available

Location
The pub is located in the centre of Brampton, a bustling market town. Carlisle is ten miles away while walking routes along Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site begin six miles away. (Transport available upon request). Guests are also within driving distance of The Lake District, with the northern edge of the national park a 40-minute drive. A short 20 minute drive will take you to the Scottish Border.
